Set on the crest of a hill just outside Hillcrest, Shenindor is a lovely country B&B set on 4 acres, with breathtaking views across the Assagay Valley. A beautiful indigenous garden with an abundance of birdlife surrounds the home, creating a peaceful country atmosphere.
The double-storey house comprises of a large comfortable lounge with open fireplace, dining room, large patio, and outdoor entertainment area. The Luxury Suite and Family Suites are located upstairs, and there is a self-contained cottage in the garden next to the pool, as well as a two-bedroom self-catering unit. No country home is complete without a few animals - expect a warm welcome and lots of love from the labradors. Other facilities include plenty of safe parking, barbecue facilities, and a heated pool.
Shenindor is conveniently situated for easy access onto the N3 to Durban or Pietermaritzburg, with Hillcrest just a short drive away. Situated close to the Valley of 1000 Hills, there is a wide variety of Zulu cultural activities, curio shops, scenic drives, and nature reserves to be enjoyed in the area, plus tours into the valley, snake and crocodile parks, and animal farms.
Hillcrest offers a good selection of top-class restaurants and pubs, as well as exciting shopping opportunities. Both Inanda and Shongweni Dams and several nature reserves are within easy reach, offering fishing, canoeing, birding, horse riding, and hiking, with the opportunity of seeing a variety of game. Abseiling, microlight flights, and paragliding can be enjoyed at various locations, or a round of golf at Camelot, Kloof, or Augusta.
Within one to three hours' drive one can experience the majestic mountains of the Drakensberg, the KwaZulu Natal countryside on the Midlands Meander, the Big 5 at the Zululand game parks, or the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and South Africa’s beautiful coastline. |
