Oom Wessels Guest House is located an easy two-hour drive from Durban in the heart of Zululand, on a private and tranquil country retreat. Oom Wessel offers a unique combination of peace, comfort and homeliness along with beautiful views.
The guest cottages and rooms are tastefully decorated to ensure comfort and a warm, intimate, informal stay. All bedding and towels are provided. Guests can sit on their private patio and enjoy the fresh air and views or relax in the swimming pool.
The farmhouse, which was once a Catholic church and mission has been transformed into a unique and interesting home with a tin-shack pub, entertainment area and a collection of antiques and memorabilia to remind the visitor of the good old days.
The function hall can seat up to 100 guests and caters for weddings, conferences, birthday parties and school groups. Off-road bike rides and bass fishing can be arranged and visitors can plan day trips to Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Reserve, the battlefields and the St. Lucia Wetlands Park. |
