Nonyana Lodge is situated in the northern part of South Africa and is nestled between two koppies; surrounded by untouched wilderness and carefully designed to blend into the natural features of the location. Wildlife often grazes at the very edge of the camp, which makes for perfect photo opportunities.
Accommodation comprises three stunning private thatched suites that are within walking distance of each other. These spacious twin rooms have been decorated in rich African colours, and the stone, wood and grass suites were painstakingly built to preserve the bushveld habitat allowing an almost 360-degree view of the surroundings. A fully equipped kitchen attached to the lounge, dining room and bar area makes the ideal break-away without leaving too many luxuries behind.
The main lapa incorporates four areas; a beautiful hand-crafted wooden bar to swap stories at, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals, a dining area where you can mingle with friends, and a lounge to relax in. The camp also offers a boma which is fitted for outdoor cooking and there is a large thatched lapa with a splash pool. The koppie or hill next to the camp barbecue area provides spectacular views of the surrounding areas.
The camp is central to immense natural beauty, from true untouched bushveld to ancient Baobab trees, picturesque mountains and indigenous forests. Enjoy a sundowner as you experience a breathtaking African sunset.
Game-viewing is conducted in open Land Rover vehicles or on foot in the company of well-trained guides and trackers. Activities for visitors include 4x4 trails, hiking, bird-watching and game drives.
