Only 180 km from Maputo lies the small village of Praia do Bilene. Villa Espanhola overlooks the San Martino Lake, a warm water lagoon 15 km long and 4 km wide which lies alongside the Indian Ocean. The villa offers stylish and affordable self-catering accommodation in eight Tuscan-style air-conditioned studio units.

Each unit features a private verandah and our open-plan thatch dinning area creates a homely atmosphere overlooking Bilene’s lagoon. The lodge offers breakfast daily and set menu dinners on request.  A white sandy semi-private beach is a mere 50 m from the lodge and offers safe swimming along the shallow shores, with perfect conditions for any water sport and boating activities.

Villa Espanhola has recently added two two-bedroom self-catering units sleeping four guests each. Each apartment has a double bed with en-suite bathroom and twin room with en-suite bathroom. The open-plan lounge and kitchen area looks out onto our well maintained garden. This kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, cutlery and crockery. The units are serviced daily by our friendly and efficient staff. The apartment has an inter leading door should your group consist of more than four people, which allows for you to make use of both units. Then it will sleep eight people.

Its year-round sunshine makes Mozambique the prefect holiday destination. Only 2 km from Bilene main village, the lodge is safe and secure.  If it's peace and relaxation you are looking for, make Villa Espanhola your destination of choice.

Lovely 6 days we booked a 2 bedroomed self catering Villa,<div>It was lovely, clean and big enough for 3 adults to have their own space.</div><div><br /></div><div>The beach was a short walk down and very special.</div><div>The staff were warm and very helpfull, I would reccommend this little Villa to anyone wanting a small, quite and convenient place to stay in Bilene.</div><div><br /></div><div>We loved it,</div>
Villa Espanhola in Bilene Reviewed by Andrew Tungwarara, South Africa on . Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in the self catering units and had a beautiful time all 13 of us. Linda the hostess was and always great. The places are clean and the staff work hard to keep them that way. 24 hr attendance is provided. Highly recommended place for family and will definitely be back.
