Bush and beach come together at Mahangate Beach Lodge Lda. Situated within a short drive of Pomene Bay, this idyllic setting is perfect to enjoy a relaxing holiday with views and tranquility or make have adventurous days out fishing, hiking and discovering the surrounding area.
The lodge offers three beachfront secluded self-catering villas, with four bedrooms sleeping eight guests. Bedrooms are fringed with private covered decks and feature en-suite bathrooms. All bathrooms are furnished with both showers and baths that intermingle with the scenic landscape thanks to the full length sliding windows. Each lodge is situated on top of a magnificent ridge, giving panoramic views of the estuary, Indian Ocean, islets, channels, lagoons and marine ecology along the shoreline below.
The spacious main entertainment area forms the heart of each of the private lodges and is the central point around which everything is designed. This area is feature a lounge, a dining area, and a bar; with the whole area opening onto Cimbiri outdoor decking.
A splash pool, for those hot Mozambique summers, is cradled in the deck and blends into turquoise ocean landscape. A Mozambique style kitchen and food preparation area caters for more traditional cooking; especially of the freshly caught seafood. Modern convenience and superior finishes are combined with indigenous feature elements. Authentic stone cladding, hand carved teak doors and windows, and the jecca roof covering are styled to suit the Mozambique landscape beautifully.
