Description
Dome Lodge is situated in the World Heritage Site of the Vredefort Dome. Located just two hours drive from Johannesburg and 24 km from Potchefstroom. This holiday resort offers eight fully equipped, rustic yet tranquil self-catering chalets. We also offer a function and wedding venue. We are centrally located for those who wish to experience the excitement of outdoor activities such as hiking, nature drives, fly fishing, white water rafting and quad bike nature trails.

Dome Lodge in Vredefort Dome Reviewed by John Bergh, New Zealand on . Dome Lodge Basic farm stay, a bit of a disappointment if reality is compared to what you receive to get from the photo's posted. In hindsight think it is overpriced compared to other accommodation utilised in SA at the same time. Huge problem with stench and flies from neighboring property, degrading the value of the actual stay. I fully understand that the owners have no control over what happens on their neighbor's side of the fence, and they did everything possible to try and manage the fly's and the stench were beyond their control. This problem should be addressed urgently, travelling half way around the world one does not appreciate being exposed to something like this.
Dome Lodge in Vredefort Dome Reviewed by Tienkie Aucamp, South Africa on . My daughter and I had a really tranquil and peaceful stay at the Dome Lodge. Don't be put off by the first impression. The chalets have all the basic necessities and are very clean and private. We enjoyed the animals that came to visit everyday. The owners were really nice and helpful. Don't expect any entertainment, but if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place to go.
