Forest View Lodge in Eshowe Reviewed by Zakhele Dube, South Africa on .
The lodge itself is lovely and we had a wonderful stay. I had a problem though with the owner/manager. We were expected by her to behave in a certain way because of the colour of our skin and she saw what she was expecting.

There were 4 rooms booked by our group (Zakhele Dube, Sicelo Ntuli, Wandile Khumalo and Siyabonga Mdubeki), all with partners. An additional 2 couples were with us, having booked at a place she had suggested for me, that belongs to her son, which is a dump really.

When we got ready to go to the function we were in Eshowe to attend, she saw a "mob" and reacted as if we were roaches that had invaded her kitchen. I didn't like her utterances at all and they were based on racial profiling by her.

I had to give her a piece of my mind and I did so in a gentlemanly way, fortunately for her. She should never do such a thing to anybody ever again and I am still looking for ways to make sure she doesn't - ever.
