Set in the estuary of Mongue, 17 km north of Maxixe in the province of Inhambane, is a luxury Fishing Lodge specializing in 5 Star accommodation, superb cuisine, and fishing packages to suit the passionate angler.
From saltwater game fishing, saltwater bill fishing, spear fishing, fly-fishing, and just plain estuary angling, Silver Fish Lodge offers it all. Packages are custom-built to suit every angler's needs. Fly-in packages are the lodge's speciality, taking the load off tourists who can simply fly in, fish, and relax. Guests are collected from Inhambane Airport and within an hour a boat is ready to take them fishing. The luxury lodge offers two Double Chalets with two double beds or four single beds each, full bathrooms, and lounges with covered patios. The lodge also offers four Single Chalets, each with a double bed or two single beds, en-suite bathroom, hot water shower, toilet and basin, and a covered patio. Accommodation is thus perfectly designed for fishing groups.
Buildings are constructed with brick and thatch roofing. Mosquito nets and ceiling fans are provided, and all rooms boast a full sea view of the magnificent estuary, with beach access just 50 m away. The restaurant offers a fully-equipped kitchen, bar and deck, while the games room features a pool table, dart board, card games, and a lounge area for reading and relaxing or birdwatching. Meals are prepared by competent staff, with full emphasis on Portuguese seafood cuisine.
The lodge is equipped with three boats, and all skippers are fully qualified. Fishing tackle is of the best quality and all line is IGFA rated, should an angler wish to claim a world record. All fishing tackle is upgraded on a monthly basis and tackle for every aspect of angling is available.
