Description
Muturazi Cottages are three luxury self-catering units set in parkland overlooking the Montane Forests of the Mutarazi Falls National Park in Nyanga. The cottages are fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, toasters, fridge-freezers, electric stoves as well as microwave ovens. Warm bedding with down duvets and extra blankets are supplied, but no towels are provided.

Each cottage consists of an open-plan lounge, kitchen and large country-style dining room table. There are Jetmaster fireplaces and a cradle of firewood a day is included in the rate, but if more wood is required then an additional charge of $5.00 per bundle is charged. Guests are required to bring their own food, drinks and towels. We regret no dogs are allowed.

In each cottage the downstairs bedroom has two bunk beds with an en-suite shower and toilet. The upstairs of each is called the Log Cabin Bedroom and it has twin beds which can be pushed together to form a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a Victorian bath. In addition, there are private en-suite saunas and balconies overlooking the Montane Forest. There are outdoor braais and outdoor furniture for entertainment and charcoal is available for sale.

Guests using the Mutarazi Falls Cottages have access to the Pungwe Drift picnic site and the Pungwe River for fly fishing which are not available to members of the public. Take a dip in the natural pools on the river. For the more adventurous, there is a rope course through the trees, abseiling, rock climbing, mountain bike trails, wild water rafting and kayaking.

Mutarazi Cottages in Nyanga Reviewed by Dudley Searle, Zimbabwe on . Easter Weekend Very comfortable except for smacking my head on beam into upper bedroom a number of times, and I am a shortie. Cottages well equipped. Fantastic walks with amazing views and vegetation.

Beautiful setting and comfortable cottages, with George to light the evening fires and wash the dishes! We all enjoyed the Rope Challenge and River Rafting. Luckily we took all our provisions as there are no shops nearby.
