This peaceful bush-style retreat, set in the majestic landscape of Zululand, boasts a picturesque stone farmhouse which was constructed in 1919. Thokazi, which means "heffe" in Zulu, is a reverberation of the rich Zulu culture, which is ever-present in this pastoral location. Thokazi Royal Lodge is situated close to the six Royal Residences of His Majesty King Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and the renowned Royal Route. The world-famous Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Big 5 Game Reserve is situated approximately 1.5 hours away and spoils its visitors with spectacular game viewing all year round.
Thokazi comprises three chalets in total, each boasting four standard bedrooms and one luxury room, all of which can be individually let. Each standard room is furnished with a minibar, 32-inch plasma TV, fans, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities and a complimentary bottle from His Majesty’s Bayedi wine collection. The common air-conditioned guest area consists of a cosy dining and lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen.
Thokazi Royal Lodge offers its visitors a magnificent taste sensation.
