Arendsnes in Chintsa East Reviewed by Albert Venter, South Africa on . Easter 2015 We stayed in the Caravanpark over the Easter Weekend.  We experienced no wind as one might expect at the sea. The site was well grassed and the vegetation provided excellent wind and shade.  Park was safe to leave stuff on site, and the we left the resort by way of key card at an electronic gate.  No unauthorised persons were roaming the park providing safe environment for small children to interact with one another. The resort offers no view of the sea, but that we knew before we came. We just required rest and solitude which we did have. We did however receive our measure of heavy rain together with the rest of the Coastal Areas of South Africa. Early April is common for rain at the Coast. We experience that one Easter at the South Coast of Natal. We swam in spite of the rain because the sea is so warm. Eastern Cape is a different matter if it rains the water is still cold.  Around the 24th of April, Cintsa is great while the Free State is gibbering with cold and a lesser possibility of frequent raining. Planning your short holiday is up to your own objectives.  Did you come to play or did you come to rest?  Our objectives was a rest of which we had plenty of it.  We had a few days of sun and was also fortunate to pack up Tuesday 7 April without rain under cloudy skies. I would recommend Arendsnes for parents who badly needs a rest without the constant bother to be concerned for your child.
