Strandlopertjie offers two luxury rooms situated right on the beach of the picturesque town of Paternoster on the West Coast. Breakfast is not included, however all shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Strandlopertjie Self-catering offers two comfortable units, each consisting of an open-plan bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. Other facilities include DStv, kitchenettes and braai areas overlooking the ocean. Unit 1 also features an indoor fireplace and Unit 2 is wheelchair friendly.

With its white-washed fisherman cottages that lie along the beaches, it is definitely one of the most attractive villages on the West Coast, and is only 150 km from Cape Town. Small colourful fishing vessels go to sea every morning at dawn, returning in the afternoon with the catch of the day.

Watch the whales and dolphins in the bay, hike, kayak or simply stroll on the beaches and enjoy the beautiful sunset while having a cocktail or two. Visit Cape Columbine Light House and Nature Reserve on your way to Tietiesbaai, browse through one of the local shops where you will find fine artists and potters at work, or experience true West Coast hospitality at one of the restaurants.

Paternoster is the ideal base from which to visit nearby towns like Riebeek Kasteel and Darling. Enjoy wine tasting at the excellent wine estates in the area and bird-watching in Veldrift. Visit the West Coast Fossil Park near Hopefield or consider spending a day in the West Coast National Park, which is particularly beautiful in spring, with a kaleidoscope of colourful spring flowers.

We actually wanted Bo Bakkies, not Strandlopertjie.<div>Lossie was very accommodating and let us move up the hill as there was a unit available.</div><div>We loved the little cottage and will be back!</div>

Great Spot The location is fantastic being right on the beach and close to the restaurants. <span style="line-height: 1.5;">The room was a great size and really nicely done. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a room on the beach.</span>
