Enjoy gracious and abundant living in this tranquil Victorian bed and breakfast in Montagu, surrounded by the spectacular Langeberg Mountains.

Five tastefully furnished period bedrooms with quaint en suite bathrooms, plus a large and comfortable lounge.

At the John Montagu you can enjoy English breakfasts in a sunny dining room overlooking the sparkling beach pool.

Children 12 years and older welcome.

The little town is picturesque and charming and renowned for its hot mineral springs, muscadel wines and hiking trails.

The entire house can be booked at R1500.00 per night.

We chilled in the garden and the swimming pool. The owner was helpful in recommending and booking restaurant for us and provided a lovely breakfast before we left.

The room was spotlessly clean and freshly made up. No frills and fancies but down to earth and most welcoming. Dinner reservations were organised for me by the manageress who was most informative on the available restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast was hearty and wholesome with fresh flowers gracing the table. I was also treated to local produce of Montagu. The informal atmosphere made me feel very much at home! Thanks to all the staff who made my overnight stay so pleasant.
