Description
Cottage Kraaldoorn is located on a farm in the beautiful Groenfontein Valley, only 11 km outside of Calitzdorp. The cosy cottage can accommodate four people and is an ideal venue to stay near Calitzdorp.

The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering and has two bedrooms. It has a comfortable and spacious lounge area and a rustic fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has braai facilities and guests can relax to the rhythm of the farm. Guests are welcome to use the manor house swimming pool or bask close to nature in the natural pool in the river. We supply firewood and an Internet connection is available on request.

Wander around the farm to your heart's content or stroll down the winding farm road with its occasional typical Klein Karoo farm dwellings and abundant fynbos. Unwind on your private deck terrace while looking out towards the verdant paddock and the imposing fynbos bluffs beyond. A gurgling stream runs past with a footbridge leading to rustic hikes and adventure.

The "wood burner" was an added surprise, ensuring the cottage stayed warm and cosy. A relaxing stay in a beautiful area. Thank you Peter for being an entertaining, delightful host.</p>

If you enjoy scenic gravel roads (please note this is not 4x4 roads), the feel of solitude and being far away from everyday life with all the normal comforts and lots of indoor and outdoor space with beautifull mountains around you and a stream at your feet, this is the place for you.  We loved this place.
