Blydefontein Tented Camp is located in the Rietbron district, between Willowmore and Beaufort West, and provides a wonderful outdoor experience in the depths of the Karoo.
The camp is situated in an old riverbed surrounded by shady Karoo bush; guests can really get to grips with the outdoors without having to rough it since bedding and tents are provided for all convenience. Guests have a choice of staying in one of three Chopper Tents that are each furnished with two comfortable single beds. The three Military-type Tents can sleep up to 10 campers on mattresses and are deal for groups and families with children. Guests can make use of the showers with hot water provided by a donkey boiler, and the toilets are long drops. The tents have solar-powered lighting, there is a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue facilities, and firewood is for sale.
Campers can go hiking, hire a quad bike and do a trail, do one of the 60 km 4x4 trails which are rated three to four, test your fitness on the obstacle course, view rock art or hire a horse and go horseback riding. |
