Da Laafing Lion is located in the hamlet of Vermaaklikheid. It is part of the Garden Route, on the east coast of South Africa.

The farmhouse can comfortably sleep up to eight guests in double and twin beds. There is an additional day bed as well. All of the rooms are fitted with ceiling fans and bedding is provided. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and a shower, and the other with a shower. Guests can enjoy an outside shower with hot and cold water.

The dining area boasts a wooden-dining table that can seat eight guests comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes wood, gas and electric stoves, a freezer, a fridge, a microwave, a toaster, and a kettle. The living area features a double indoor braai, a radio and a dart board. There is a DVD player and DStv is available but guests must bring their own DStv card. There is also an outdoor braai area.

Canoes and rowing boats are available for hire, and boat trips can be arranged on request. Fishing gear and bait is available on request, however fishing permits are required. They can be purchased at any post office. This area is also a paradise for quad biking, mountain biking, and scrambling; or guests can enjoy one of the many scenic hiking routes.

This self-catering farmhouse is situated in a private cul-de-sac, a short walk from the Duivenhoks River. It is a short nine kilometres drive from where the river meets the sea. This is a great area for bird watching, and an array of local birds are always in attendance around the house. Buck are also frequently spotted on the property.
