Cane Cutters Estate is situated in Monzi which is only a few kilometres from St Lucia. It has the classic surroundings that one would expect in old KwaZulu-Natal's warm subtropical climate.

The estate offers Self-catering Chalets and En-suite Rooms, and features a very popular restaurant, Cane Cutters, that is accessible for the general public and guests. There is a bird park, animal farm, wine cellar and restaurant on the property.

Monzi is home to tropical, lush and beautiful plant growth. The climate is hot and typically tropical. The St Lucia area is well known for its animal life, fishing waters and wetlands. The winter months offer some of the most spectacular game watching opportunities in South Africa.

Your accommodation is situated in a bird park which is a beautiful collection of colourful foreign birds and as a guest you can walk around and enjoy when all the visitors are gone. The room/house/chalets are like stepping back in time and have a lot of the original bits and bobs plus the modern amenities of TV movie package, air con and well appointed bathrooms. Lovely tranquil swimming pool area. The area of Monzi itself was a real feel of Africa rural life and sugar cane. Recommend a visit to the golf club section and to visit the tea room and craft shop. Also easy access to both the stunning iSimangaliso Wetland Parks both East and West shores, the butterfly dome for true local arts and crafts and of course butterflies and Mtubatuba for shopping.
