Namibia is a land of contrast, with endless landscapes, diversity of game and many different cultures. Farm Eileen is situated at the edge of the Erongo Mountains and is a popular migration area for many animal species of our country.
Your Hosts Rita and Frederik van Alphen cater for excellent meals and a familiar atmosphere. Meals are served on a half open lapa or in s small dining room. Barbeque evenings round the open fire are very popular. In a social atmosphere you can hear all about the way of life in Namibia. Enjoy our fresh saltwater pool in a calm atmosphere or go with us or alone to explore the surrounding environment.
Farm Eileen is not a hunting ranch; it supports conservation of plants, birds and animals, and in particular protects leopards in their natural environment. The farm nature drives are very popular but are only in the mornings, as it takes 3 to 4 hours. Very good rock paintings can be viewed on a neighbouring farm. The excursion takes about 3 hours and the paintings are best viewed in the afternoon to take good photos, as in the mornings they are in full sun. On another neighbouring farm you can visit a San Village and learn all about their way of life. |
