The Ecoscience property is situated on the northeastern border of Tarangire National Park, 20 km south of the village of Makuyuni on the main tourist road to the Serengeti National Park.
The architecture of the huts and restaurant is based on the Maasai hut or banda, yet in an original, modern and minimalistic version. There are six large huts with large terraces. Each hut has a double bed, couch, wardrobe, office desk and an en-suite bathroom. Each unit offers a spectacular view of Radilen Hill at the opposite side of the valley. Internet access is available.
The restaurant is the relaxation area with sitting areas, fireplaces, a bar and dining room where guests will taste the most unforgettable food found anywhere in the country.
The local village is called Mswakini Juu and the 80-hectare property borders an important migration route of elephants, zebras and other animals. The area is locally called “the small Serengeti plain” and most of the land is kept natural. We built our luxurious boutique lodge and our science centre on the northern edge.
The views from Ecoscience are spectacular. Our natural landmarks are Mounts Hanang and Kwaraha which are both volcanoes, as well as Tarangire Hill, Radilen Hill, Loikisale Hill and the Mount Monduli and Mount Meru volcanoes. |
