Hawklee Country House is set on 35 acres of undisturbed Midlands’s beauty, on the banks of the Lions River. Thatched bed and breakfast accommodation in six spacious free standing cottages. All accommodation is en-suite and every Hawklee guest suite features a private Jacuzzi spa bath, all rooms have electrical blankets.

We have two beautiful Honeymoon suites: Mallard with its very own cosy loft where you can relax and watch the Lions River running by. Guinea fowl with its own private balcony offers you a splendid view over the garden and the Lions River. Home country cuisine and cosy pub make Hawklee Country House the ideal venue for small weddings and peaceful retreats. We offer dinner, bed and breakfast.

We are close to all amenities of the Midlands Meander and the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains. Scenic Lions River and birding walks and only one half hours pleasurable drive to the coast.

Children under the age of three years will not be charged accommodation if sleeping with parents and a surcharge of R 40.00 will be levied for breakfast per child per sitting.

Hawklee Country House in Nottingham Road Reviewed by Carol Holland, South Africa on . Lovely setting in the Natal Midlands We enjoyed a wonderful break at Hawklee House recently. The facilities are good with wonderful walks along the river and the owners and staff are extremely caring and service orientated. We will definitely return. We stayed in Otter cottage which is fairly private and has a lovely Jacuzzi bath, good shower, heaters for the cold and full sports channels on DSTV - a bonus!
