Description
Dwarsvlei Country Home offers guests the opportunity to stay on a working Karoo farm with accommodation provided in the historical homestead. Experience sunrises and sunsets like nowhere else, see the stars and Milky Way like you only do in the Karoo, and experience hospitality like never before.

Dwarsvlei Country Home consists of six rooms that are located on the ground floor and the upper level. One of the ground floor rooms is furnished with a queen-size bed and has a full en-suite bathroom. The other two rooms are furnished with single beds and share the use of a bathroom with a bath and shower. One of the upstairs rooms is ideal for a family and is furnished with a double bed and two single beds, while the other two rooms are furnished with either a double or two single beds. The three rooms also share a bathroom with a bath only. The whole house can be booked for short periods of time.

Guests can enjoy lovely breakfasts in the dining room, and lunch and dinner are available on request. The lounge has a fireplace where guests can relax on the chilly winter nights. Take a stroll in the garden, explore the dams and little rivers nearby or walk amongst the sheep, angora goats and cattle or even have the opportunity to help with feeding. Depending on the time of year, guests will be able to witness the shearing of the sheep or goats. Activities such as hiking and cycling can be enjoyed, but guests will have to bring their own bikes.
