Nestled in the forests of the Groenlandberg Conservancy, Stonepeak Mountain Lodge offers you ‘home away from home’ accommodation in a grand old stone farm house in Elgin. Large rooms with wooden floors, leather couches and antiques set the tone for this "Out of Africa" homestead on Chosen Farm where we pride ourselves in our organic apples and garlic, as well as our magnificent breeding warm blood horses.

Centrally located opposite Oude Molen Distillery on the edge of Grabouw, the lodge is within easy access of some of the best mountain biking and hiking trails in the Western Cape, near most of the wedding venues, top restaurants, wine farms and farm stalls. The latest adventure craze in the valley is only 15 minutes’ drive to the Cape Canopy Tours zip-line which offers mind blowing views of the area, and the Eikenhof dam at the Elgin Country Club is ideal for SUPing, swimming, picnics or quad biking.

The lodge sleeps four in the main house with en-suite bathrooms, and an outside bunk house can sleep another four. All linen including inside towels are supplied. The fully self-catering kitchen has a fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven and a gas hob.

The lodge is set in a beautiful well-established garden, with a deep pool. The garden is home to several nesting birds, including eagle owls and forest buzzards, as well as some olive woodpeckers, so bird watching around the property is a must for bird lovers. Set in 7000-square metres of securely fenced garden, even your pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
