Description
The Down to Earth Guest House is situated at Herold’s Bay Eco Resort on 70 hectares of grasslands, indigenous fynbos and forest with a scenic panorama of the ocean and the Outeniqua Mountain. The resort is located close to the Oubaai Golf Estate, two kilometre from Herolds Bay beach, five kilometre from George Airport and 17 kilometre from George. The Resort hosts the Down to Earth Restaurant - well known for its country cuisine and popular wedding and function destination. The Resort is also home to the rustic Bush Lapa open-air music venue. Outdoor activities like paint ball and quad bike rides are available.

Down to Earth Guesthouse in Herolds Bay Reviewed by Denis Wilkinson, South Africa on . Position and accommodation were excellent The position and accommodation were excellent. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay and would certainly think about coming back.  Lovely setting, very relaxing.  The room next door's toilet could be heard every time it was flushed, right through the night.

Beautiful views from our cottage over the fields and out to sea. Friendly staff and nice quiet location for Herolds Bay (short car journey).
